UPON CONSIDERATION of the application of counsel for the petitioner,

IT IS ORDERED that the execution and enforcement of the sentence of death imposed upon the petitioner and scheduled for March 21, 1987, be, and the same is hereby, stayed pending the disposition by this Court of the petition for a writ of certiorari. Should the petition for a writ of certiorari be denied, this stay terminates automatically. In the event the petition for a writ of certiorari is granted, this stay shall continue pending the issuance of the mandate of this Court.
